Activity 1

Replace the underlined words with suitable phrasal verbs from the given list. Change the form of verbs
if necessary. Write the answers in the given space : One extra phrasal verb is given in the list :

Activity 3

Suppose you are the Cultural Secretary of the Students’ Club of your school. Write a notice in about
100 words informing the students about an Online Debate Competition for the students of Classes
IX and X of your school.

This is to notify that the 'Student’s Club' of our school is going to organize an Online Debate Competition on 15th August, 2021. Only the students of classes IX , X , XI and XII can participate in the debate competition. The motion of the debate is ‘Online classes’ harm the real learning temper of the students. Two groups of students will be made, one for the motion, and the other against it.'Each speaker can speak online four minutes either for the motion or against it. To attend the debate participants need not gather anywhere. Using their smart phones they can participate in the competition online from their homes. Interested students from these classes are hereby asked to submit their names through e-mail or whatsapp within 12 August, 2021 to the undersigned. Co-operation from all concerned is highly solicited
